| Hello Everyone.... yes yes i realize
it's been like a semester since i've written, but really it took
something fun for me to write again ...
that and the fact that we're gonna be graduating so now i can keep
writing for people at MU not just at home... not that it'll be that
exciting , but still... aaaaaanyways
i've decided on Catholic University for law school, for those who don't
know i got into American, Temple, Villanova, Widener, and Catholic...
Catholic and American were both in DC, where i wanna be (right
buttons?? ) ha ha but when i went to visit them both American was really snooty and Catholic i was comfy at, plus catholic offered me $16,000
a year and they have the same opportunities as American even if their
name is slightly less prestigious... so that's my decision and i'm
sticking with it. I'm done with classes and everything here,
exams and everything are all over, i already know i have 2 A's so
that's exciting , other than that i
have no idea... My grad. party is on May 28 at home, if you haven't
received and invitation yet that means i don't have your e-mail address
at all, or i don't have the right one (Jasspac this means you!! ) so drop me an IM or leave a comment here with it... oh and it's Scott's birthday today, so Happy Birthday!!! he likes me cuz i drove all the way to Fruitville Pike to buy him a carvel ice cream cake cuz he likes them (i think??
hmmm...) although he doesn't know that yet... i even had to pay for it
partially in change cuz it turns out they don't accept credit cards and
i didn't have enough cash, the girl was laughing at me counting out my
quarters... it was amusing... oh and Texas Chainsaw Massacre...
scaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaary movie... lights stayed on in my apt. that night,
and i mean even more than usual!! alright on to the fun part of my
update, so mickey had this thing in her journal where you ask someone
to interview you with 5 questions and then you post it and your answers
in your journal and then if someone asks you to interview them you have
to, and it's fun, so i asked mickey to interview me and here are the questions:
1.) What is your favorite TV show to watch other than Gilmore Girls and old West Wing episodes?
I would definitely have to say Crossing Jordan for something with new
episodes, although i rarely remember to watch it, but when i do catch
it, i love it.... buuuuuuut Wonder Years would be my favorite for all
time, they need to put it on DVD , in
fact if anyone's reading this go to Amazon.com and look for it and then
put your e-mail address in to get notified when they look for it, they
send the number of e-mail addresses to the company so if alot of people
want it, they'll make it!!
2.) What type of lawyer do you want to be?
Probably international law, but that would involve staying in DC after
grad and travelling forever and ya know i like that and want that but i
also wanna settle down and stuff eventually, i'm still working all that out in my head, but right now international cuz it's just fascinating
3.) Is your favorite color now pink or purple? And why do you like it?
Probably pink, but just cuz i look adorable in some pinks ... ha ha yes i know i need to work on my self confidence
4.) If you were sent to some foreign planet and could bring one food
item that does not involve chocolate or Baty's Grove ziti, what would
it be?
Hello!! mickey and everyone should already know this... pierogies!! mmmm... either Two Cousin's or homemade ones... mmmmm.... mmmmm again... mabey i'll go have some now....
5.) What is your favorite little kid memory with me? (like, back when we shared a room...)
My faaaaaaavorite mickey memory... hmmm, this is tough... it might be the Frank and Joe show
(mickey and i were frank and joe and we told stupid corny jokes and did
a little variety show, especially when our family was bored in the car)
... or our feet shows!! (we laid
down behind a bed and put our feet up so people could only see our feet
and would then act out in about a minute or two then entire story of
Grease or Seven Brides) ...or it could be when we tied our baby doll
carriages and that rubbermade container together with shoe laces... i
remember that for some reason... it didn't work too well
Otay now i have to write this:
If you want me to interview you, follow these rules:
1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I will respond by asking you five questions.
3. You will update your journal with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.
Soooo that's all for today, i'm heading to my last newman dinner,
sigh... fun fun though, joey and will said they'd put TWO pieces of
cheese on my burger for me
oh they're just too good to me!!! graduation sat. i promise to update
more often... or at least think about updating more often hee hee

| Still trying to figure out what i want...
| | |
| Hello everyone!! So, not toooo bad
timewise. I did try to update the other day, but then i got
distracted by the fact that i didn't have my con law done and it was
like 2am... yea, but i don't have con law for tomorrow, so i'm updating
now, hooray!!! ... soooo, last monday i had a ham dinner at my apt.... it was fun,
alot of people came cuz they were all playing football right before
that. We played catchphrase. fun fun... then i had a week
of classes... BLAH. Let me just tell you how much i LOVE con law
cuz i get to argue.
I have a class where i get to debate intelligent topics with fairly
intelligent people, do you know how wonderful that is?? it makes
me so happy. This happiness is only dampened by my Tech. Writing
class that follows. Take today, for instance... we had to do our
resume's for today. So i did mine all nice etc. and she's
telling everyone what's wrong with theirs. She comes to me and
she's looking at it, and looking at it (now understand that my dislike
of this woman probably oozes from my pores ).
well she finally finds something she doesn't like. I have too
many activities, it looks like i "just play all the time" and i should
cut some out of my resume??? hello... is she nuts.
the more activities i can handle while maintaining dean's list shows
how i can manage time and pressure. It's not like she wants me to
add something in, just cut out some activities... OMG this woman is
stupid.... so, anyways... my aunt
Dedie (i know i spelled that wrong) is not doing very well and i would
very much appreciate any prayers etc. any of you can offer. sigh... friday i went home for the day to spend it with my mommy!!
i love spending the day with my mommy. I got to relax and take a
nice long bath, and then we accomplished things. I pre-ordered
Harry Potter from Barnes and Nobles,
so i can be there when the store opens on July 16th and receive my copy
without fighting people for it. Then we went to Staples and spent
my $25 gift cert. which was fun cuz you have to spend ALL $25 but i
just wanted a pack of paper and some pens, so i got lots of pens and
paper, and some mounting tape, cuz you always need more of that, and a
muskateer bar, and something else... ha ha we were running around
counting up to $25... then we went to the alcohol store, and i got some
butterscotch schnapps , i wanted Bailey's too, but Scott had to go get that at the Ville cuz the guy at the alcohol store at home was a jerk, blah... so then we got me sweatpants too, and a hat cuz it was gonna snow and i didn't have one... aaaaaaand... MONKEY GLOVES,
oh they are soooo cool and cute, they're like premade finger puppets,
they're brown gloves with little monkey faces and ears and tails sewn
on to the 4 fingers. i love them!! and yes, i have no qualms
wearing them to law school... ha ha... we
did some other accomplishing things, i just can't remember now.
Then i drove back to school, looking forward to the snow and some
alcohol and a game night. That was Sat. It was fun, small
cuz noone wanted to walk to my apt. in the snow,
but fun. See pictures through the link in my AIM profile.
It was like a marathon game night, we played alot, even twister, of
which i remain the champion
*crowds cheering in the background* ha ha ha... so that brings us up to
this week. Swing was cancelled twice cuz of the snow .
The Eagles won, that was cool, i even watched the game!! I've
been in a Jane Austen mood lately, like in the mood to reread all her
books, but i obviously can't, cuz if i'm reading anything it better be
for school... blah... perhaps over
spring break. I'm trying to go see Wicked with Carolyn over
break, i think she needs to see a broadway play, she's been
Broadway-deprived for way too long... sigh... Still waiting to hear
from the law schools... i applied to another one, Washington and Lee,
eh so we'll see... sigh... otay i'm gonna cut it off now, i'm
restarting the If... Questions though and i think i'll leave you with
the answers i've gotten so far...
If you spoke English with a foreign accent, which would you want it to be??
Me- Irish
Steve K.- PA Dutch (not quite foreign but it's his birthday so we'll let it go )
Scott- Australian
Carolyn- Irish
Alto- British
Mickey- Irish
Santo- British
Joe Kraz- German
Julie- Australian
Grillo- Italian
Liz- British
Ryan- Scottish
So interesting, learning about people... Goodnight all!!
-Patty
P.S. I don't actually own the Gilmore Girls DVD i have below this, i've just been watching alot of Gilmore Girls... now if anyone wants to buy me this DVD i wouldn't argue, at all...

| Hey all!!... i told you a new journal would be coming. I don't
like to carry over last semester's thoughts and worries into this one
so i decided to start a new xanga. Fresh slate, ya know?? Well,
would you believe that Monkeypatz is already taken as a xanga name, and
by a girl named Patty... ha who'd've thought... so now it's
monkeypatty, but i don't really like tha name , so it's just used for
the address... this will still be the journal of monkeypats... it's
just a heads up to those who have it on their favorites list, that you
need to add this... anyways... new semester!! i'll give you the
lowdown on all my classes, that i'm sure you're not really interested
in, but well, i'm gonna do it anyways...
Modern US History - Cool prof, but it's at 8 am which is not so cool
for a history class. a 5-6 page paper, so not too bad .
Constitutional Law 2 - Well, i didn't take con law 1 so i'm kinda at a
disadvantage, although the prof says it'll be fine. We only had
one real class so far and i absolutely loved it. I started
debating with some kid. Blah to him... but it was intellectually
stimulating, but unfortunately that is followed by...
Technical Writing - Taught by a lady who treats us like we're in 6th
grade. She spent 10 minutes telling us why the TO: line is
important when writing a letter. Now, i know i don't write very
well in my xanga entries, but seriously, i'm a pretty good writer, not
as good as my sisters or karen, but i mean pretty good... She seriously
handed out a paper with basic grammar for us. We had to tell her
whether the underlined word was a subject, direct object... etc... OMG
i feel like i'm losing brain cells, i seriously sat there with my arms
crossed last class staring at her just daring her to call on me...
hmph...
Europe and the World 1789-Present - it's an easy 100-level requirement
i never got around to taking, but i need to graduate. At least
it's gonna be stuff i enjoy, we're talking about the French Revolution,
and we eventually get to read "All Quiet on the Western Front"
Senior Seminar - This is a 25 page paper. That's all it is.
While my Technical Writing class chooses to insult my skills, my senior
seminar is designed to challenge them. I have to do original
research and write the paper using practically all primary sources i
find myself.. I think my topic is going to deal with the coal
miners
in Central PA, citing my family history as evidence of a grander
cultural or political scheme... i just haven't figured that one out
yet... but, assuming i get the research done on time... it should be
pretty darn interesting...
And that's it. Some of you may have been looking for my photo
class, but i decided to drop that. I found that the syllabus
including going to gallery openings, writing assignments and other
things that i didn't think i had time for this semester. So i
have a new digital camera instead, from which i wanted to put up a new
pic of me for the new journal, but for some reason it says the pictures
are too big... if someone smarter than me with computers or cameras
knows how to change this, it would be appreciated!!
Let's see, in other news...
- Swing dancing is just as fun as always, although i hate when they make
us switch partners. Scott and i do moves like backwards or
something, they're not wrong, just different, so whenever i switch i
always screw something up. Blah!! I'll let you know when
performances start .
-I am applying to law schools: Villanova, Temple, University of VA,
Widener, American, and Catholic... haven't heard anything back
yet. sigh... Also might be applying to Washington and Lee cuz
they just told me they'd waive the application fee.
-I get to go for some weird test cuz my hands and feet keep falling
asleep for no reason. ha ha... always something different with
me!!
- I am planning Battle of the Sexes at Newman with Will, Liz, and
Steve. I love that night, i'm also in charge of the scavenger
hunt with Liz, and the NYC trip. Although that's earlier than i
thought, and when i went online tonight to get tickets i found out Ave.
Q is sold out, which makes me very sad and Wicked is sold out too,
which therefor makes me the saddest person ever . I might drag
scott to see Little Women, Sutton Foster's in it. Hooray!!
Otay i'm sure there's alot more to put up here... but i think i'll just
end it now, cuz it's getting kinda long... I'll leave you with a West
Wing quote from the episode i watched tonight...
Josh: If you were in an accident I wouldn't stop for a beer
Donna: If you were in an accident I wouldn't stop for red lights
goodnight!!... on to con law... *trumpet sounds*
